Summary Description

The Warrior is the primary melee unit in Everquest. Everyone needs a soldier, so Warrior are well represented in all of the races of Norrath. While Warriors cannot cast any spells, their ability to take and deal damage make them important members of any team. When Warriors become low on health, they are thrown into a berserker frenzy in an attempt to take an enemy down with them.

Strengths

A Warrior has more hitpoints than any other class on Norrath, In addition, while other classes can also use platemail armor, there are several types of warrior-only platemail armor that is vastly superior to other types of platemail. The Warrior can use and excel in almost every weapon type in the game. Warriors can deal out critical hits during melee, allowing them to double their damage on occasion.

Weaknesses

While a Warrior has high hitpoints, they cannot cast any spells. Even the most mighty Warrior can't stand up to several enemies without assistance from another player to heal and support them.

Group Role

In a group, your primary role will be to stay at the center of the battle, and concentrate the enemies attention on you. As a Warrior with an incredible amount of hitpoints and the strongest armor, you will use your taunting and weapon skills to make sure you are taking all of the damage. If you should fail, the enemy may turn on your weaker melee partners, or, even worse, the enemy may attack your only healer or fragile magic-user. As a Warrior, you'll often rely on the skills of your teammates to keep you alive during a battle, but when the day is done, you can walk away knowing you fought a dragon face to face.
