The Magician can summon a variety of elemental minions to combat his enemies. Each type of elemental has different advantages and disadvantages that the Magician must use to his advantage. StrengthsThe Magician has the strongest pets in the game. A Magician's elementals can inflict significant damage to his enemies while the Magician himself casts direct damage spells. The Magician can also summon a variety of items to aid him on his adventures. WeaknessesOf all the robed casters, the Magician is the only one without a way of easily escaping a mob's attack. When a Magician's pet dies, the Magician is at the mercy of whatever he was attacking, and the inhabitants of Everquest aren't programmed for mercy... Group RoleAs a Magician, your job is to do damage. Simply put, you're expected to make your groups enemies die faster. You will need to control your pet so that it is attacking the same enemies that the rest of your group is attacking. You will also use your direct damage spells to supplement your pet's damage. When the Ranger runs out of arrows, or the Cleric runs out of food, you'll be able to summon them items on the spot.
