This is a duplicate of a post I made into the Technical Forum on Destiny Guild's website. I was asked by regular eqmac posters in Destiny to copy that post to this forum. I am not a regular on eqmac, so somebody here may have already pointed this tip out. Also, I am not sure I have posted it in the right place (apologies if not). I also am not sure of the policies on this forum regarding screenshots. The post uses several. They are compressed to be quite small in download size though. Once again, sorry if I have broken some rules, but the folks in Destiny suggested I share this with the whole eqmac community.

Guide now follows.

I don't play any characters with Tracking, so this had not occurred to me. But, Lyrad has used this info to offset his viewport to one side also, so he can have the tall track window outside his view of Norrath.

All hail Tiggertugger, lord of graphical-lag-reducing!

I will be sure to optimize my interface once I get home from school.

I forgot to mention in my main post that, just like other aspects of the UI layout and so forth, any changes you make to your viewport only apply to the character being played at the time. You will need to duplicate these changes for each alt you play.

Also, again like other UI customisations, the viewport setting is only stored to disk when EQ successfully quits. So, I'd recommend that once you have it set up how you like, log out then quit the game to make sure the settings get saved. If you go LD, crash out or get the sound bug in the meantime, then you will have to set everything up all over again.

Even on gem-studded machines it's helpful.

I've used this on my G5 when I've had problems. Not nearly as dramatic as the G4, but it's still nice.

I've been using /viewport for awhile, but never thought of using it for tradeskilling, that's pretty nice.

Wow thanks for the info!

Lyrad, what setup do you use to accommodate the tracking window?

I use /viewport on my G4 tower (not on my 'Book) and had net even thought about setting up the hotkeys. What a GREAT idea. I will be setting them up this evening. That tiny window should make skilling much easier.
