Well, the emails gone.
I've got 10 guys interested.
Hopefully this'll fly.

The Shortbread Army will be a relaxed and fun guild, leaning towards helping new players and the server as a whole. All character levels/races are accepted, though high lvl raiding will be a long way off at the moment and anyone not playing a short race will need to bring food, and prepare to be ribbed a bit :)

The current charter includes only a couple of 'rules'.

1. Ignore no call for help.
2. Helping & Fun is put over Loot & XP.
3. Any characters that choose to /roleplay should be chatted to appropriately.

Anyone interested should either '/tell Bobbins' in game or send me a private mail.

Thank you for your time.

what if i cant help first, like someone says 'can you buff me' and im on my way to do something and majorly oom. i had to do this once when i was rushing to get somewhere i would have ran over to him and buffed him up if i had the mana but i couldnt wait to med.

and some roleplays dont talk in RP. like they might tell asking 'how do i talk to an npc' then should we just match their dialogue that they present to us?

and how could i find who these 10 guys are i am wondering if i know a few others.

also: anyone not playing a short race will need to bring food, and prepare to be ribbed a bit

should i even ask..

Whoa! Steady. I think the first thing I said was 'a relaxed guild', what you do with your mana is your own business. When I say help, I mean with problems, the sort a newbie may get into. Try to make time, is what i'm getting at... not running around like a blue-assed fly, Buffing like no tommorrow :)

Well, they should be made aware of what the tag is for, I suppose... I'm just trying to get people in the habit. If you do '/roleplay' then it is nice if people play along... I don't do it often myself, but I try and make the effort.

Heh, fortune favours the short.

Don't worry. Tall folks are allowed, but i've had it up to here with 'asslings' comments on other servers, and seeing as we have a load of halflings... You longshanks are gonna have to come up with some cakes.

Just a bit of fun, a silly guild rule to get people chatting.

Hey, Bobbins,

I would love to meet up in game and learn more about your guild. It sounds like just my style. :D

In fact, last night, I started yet another character with the intention of trying to become a soldier in the Shortbred Army. That's my goal anyway, obviously I would have to prove myself to y'all.

Anyway, I created a Halfling Warrior named Gnarl. Though I do already have a warrior. Hmmm.... Whitt, whats the class breakdown of your guild so far? What do you need more of, etc.?

All times are GMT, so click back 5-7 hours depending on where you live in the states...

Anybody interested should feel free to '/tell' me

Phew, I'm not worried at the moment. I'd rather we went for nice people rather than making sure we have enough enchanters, or whatever...

I think of the Shortbead Army as a banner anyone can adventure under, rather than an organisation you have to qualify for.

-That sounded good, I'll remember that one :)

Whitt/Bobbins....*finally* got some time to log into the forums and reply (working nights/weekends gives you loads of time to..ahem.. waste time).

This sounds like it'll be a great guild. I love helping newbies, giving advice, answering questions, drive-by buffing, giving cool items to rats for newbies to find (newbie prizes!), etc... Like helping guildmates with questing as well, so count me in :)

I'm usually available Mon-Fri afternoon/evenings, so once we get the ball rolling and need everyone logged in to meet with the GM just let me know!

Heya, did you get the guild going? Did it work out? I have a 18th Dwarf Cleric named Rirelc that would like to join. The guild sounds fun and tongue-in-cheek.

Take it easy!
