Does anyone have this working on their Mac or use it? I'm about to click the buy button on a $800 Mac mini and thats the last thing that's bugging me. The Music in EQ is extremely cheesy but its one of my favorite parts of the game.

Thank you for your time.

On my Mac, a G5, it crashes within 2 hours and usually at a time that isn't all that convenient for my group, when my music is on. When it is off, I don't crash.

Back when I played on my MacBook Pro, I played with sound always on and it never crashed or lagged. On my iMac G5, however, sound would make the game crash every 3-4 hours.

I'll test with my emac tonight - have never played w/ sound/music on AK to date because of all the warnings.

On my G4 Powerbook, I had to turn it off, due to crashing and lag. Haven't tested it on my MBP, just kept it off. cheers!

on my macmini core 2 duo, it lags, so i turn itunes on in the background, and play with the sound off.

trust me, i have been doing this for 5 years and it's never bugged me. i actually enjoy playing like that a lot more now.

tried music and sound on both machines lastnight and had no crashes, one is an emac, the other is a pc with osx installed.

it seems to be really random as to who crashes with music/sound on

I played with music and sound on when I first started. Using an Intel iMac. Never had any crashes or problems.

Sadly the fact that I can't turn off just *combat* music made me disable the tunes. I have to keep sound on though... I need those cues to know what the heck is going on!
