If you have a public chat channel that others might want to know about, reply to this thread.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Known active public channels:

alliance -- The Alliance of Friends; open to any, wide level range including sub-65, can be a place to find groups, good place to get help as a new player

temerity:fnord -- the Temerity guild's chat channel; a place contacting someone in Temerity, asking a question, spamming us, or listening in on our general weirdness; all welcome, most are level 65

iksar -- For Iksar toons and softskin collaborators; chat channel

eurozone -- Used for organising groups, raids, for folk who typically play during the European play times

I've created bazaar:bazaar for anyone wanting to buy/sell stuff across the server, rather than just relying on /auc in PoK and the Bazaar. I also have wizard:wizard for all the wizards on the server to share tips and discuss the wizardly life. Both are in my autojoin, so I'll be on 'em any time I'm on. I hope that others will find these fun and/or useful, and join up.

Evryone needs to /autojoin bazaar:bazaar. This will actually become very handy if everyone ends up on it.

With the server population so low, it has gotten harder to get groups together. I propose a series of LFG channels, for various levels. It could help people hook up, and help partial groups fill in that last slot.

Perhaps something like

LFG.15 (for people around or below level 15)
LFG.30 (for about 15 to 30)
LFG.45 (for 30 to 45)
LFG.T1 (for Tier 1)
LFG.T2 (for Tier 2)

?

Finding groups has become almost impossible for me. Even /who all lfg is practically useless. I usually end up trying to make my own or just log and do something else. I suspect others are doing the same thing. One can sit around doing nothing for only so long.

I think the problem here is that very few people use the LFG flag. If everyone who wanted to group would use the LFG flag, then it'd be easier to find people to make groups. That's easier than trying to come up with channels for it, I think.

So encourage your friends to use /lfg on. It's for their own good!

Why does the Alliance channel now require a password?

This was fixed. Someone changed it to need a password I guess and now it is back to normal.

Usually it's just Slag, Aaire and I in there, but it might actually be useful if we all join it like Alliance.

New folks may want to:

/autojoin alliance
/join alliance

There's quite a spread of levels there, and it can be a good place to get your questions answered about the game and maybe find a hunting partner.
