For the next week or so, I would like to spend some time in Trakanon's Teeth attempting to get one of these breastplates. Due to my crazy sleep schedule, it may be in the wee hours or during the morning/afternoon. Anyone catching me online please come join me and give me a hand. :-)

Starting this evening, when I get home from work, I am going to try an all-nighter and do some exploration. From what research I have done, a tracker is a major plus when trying to get this item.

Getting into the zone was not a problem, though I missed the cave entrance in Swamp of No Hope because I was too high up on the wall and ended up in Firiona Vie. Went back, found the river and the cave and zoned. A word of caution here for anyone taking this route: there are 3 Black Ravengers in the water that are RED to me at 40. They are easy to avoid by staying out of the water so don't try to be Aquaman at this point.

Did some internet research and found where Crusader Zoglic pops. Worked my way into the zone and found the loc. Waited a little bit, saw a few Trakanasaurs and avoided them and then had a near miss with on of the mobs in the forager cycle! It was Squire Glik. He is a ghostly Iksar and drops the Gleaming Short Sword. He is also RED to me! Yikes, will have to come back later with a big group to try this cycle!

Still LFG for this trip, but now I know exactly how to get to where they pop.

Panteria and I are camped in Trakanon now. We have been working at organizing a group for this weekend and I think we will have enough to take on some of the guys in the cycle.

They are Yellow to us at 44, with only the Hangman being Red.

Good Xp in this zone, although, inexplicably, I am getting more experience than Panteria is... is it a matter of class??? We are the same race.

Still trying to get ahold of you Crowley, to come with us. We should be able to get you your blanket. :-)

Watch out for Doom (?) if he spawns. Nasty nasty fellow, way higher level than the other stuff on that cycle.

Yep, saw Doom on track a few times. Didn't mess with him though.

In my final follow-up to this post, thanks to Panteria and Yumamdaru from Sanctuary and Gatley from the Frozen Poets, I have obtained a Ceremonial Iksar Chestplate.

Gatley also got a Meditative Blanket by winning the roll and a Spectral (?) Bow from the Froglok Foragers.

We got quite a bit of XP and pulled just about every named in the cycle that had something worth killing it for.

Our group changed in size a couple of times and Crowley did finally make it out there. (Sorry we didn't get the blanket to drop for you, yet!)

Thank you to everyone that came out and helped out!

Note I know you wouldn't like it but I would also want a group to go out there and get a ceremonial ikkie chestplate

Just a quick update Kirrmarr: A couple of days after we grouped and you got your Iksar chestplate, I came across Crowley and Aggieelf in zone and joined their hunting group. We soon noticed that Crusader Zoglic was up and quickly enlisted the help of Ladon and one other (a lovely barbarian lady, beastlord methinks) whose name I forget.

By the time we had a proper group together, Zoglic had either despawned or died in battle, but Titail had spawned! So off we went in search of the skelly. We all traveled the zone as a group, and when we found Titail, we managed to aggro several of his friends too. In the chaos that ensued, I think we managed to slay one or two of the undead keepers and their pets and severely weaken Titail before Ladon and I went down. Before the battle was over Titail had fallen and Crowley looted his Meditative Blanket before retreating, as I believe there were more adds.

Fortunately Aggieelf, the barbarian lady and Crowley made it to safety and were able to med up for the corpse extraction and rezzes (which was an adventure in and of itself). Not to mention the episode with the Trakanasaurus Rex that came soon afterwards.

Congrats on getting your blanket, Crowley!!! Thanks for the followup, Gatley.

Roneb, I would have no problem whatsoever with you getting a chestplate. I'm not competing with you. We're in the same guild and I would gladly help you get one.

If you are serious about getting out there and getting one, post an LFG message in this forum. :-)

DING'd my 60 on main so working on my Brigand (evil rogue) now. As I still multi-alt to death as much in EQ2 as EQMac, it's a miracle to actually get 2 alts close to maxed out :)

I make the occasional visit to EQMac now and again so might see ya about.
