So using an external program to drive EQ is okay sometimes? Interesting.

Well EQ2 has this sort of built in, so thought it isn't a far stretch here. I mean you do have to be there.

is the only difference is instead of pressing 1, I say it.

Technically your OS has "programs" that translate the physical actions of your mouse and keyboard into output the game will understand... this is just another input method.

The general rule that was used in the past was that, as long as your input method doesn't do anything that a single press of a keyboard or mouse does, it's okay.

By definition, they are running in different physical memory addresses. If you find a way to make them run in the same "RAM addresses," prepare for a Nobel prize in physics.

Let me rephrase... RAM Disk where you allocate a certain amount of RAM for a program and it will reside there until the machine is powered off and not share said RAM with anything else. IE no in and out of data so to speak. I do it on PC with Vanguard to improve caching performance.

Only 4gb on the one I have setup for the second account. Going to check what it can upgrade to later.

Also, thanks for the link. It is exactly what I was looking for!

Random Access Memory.. it can however be setup to not be so random :P

It can be setup to act like a super fast SSD, with exception that it is all gone on reboot/shutdown.

Its RAM, but it can be finagled to act as persistent storage (while the system is powered on). All IO is then handled directly on the North Bridge.

If you really want your mind blown: www.fusionio.com

RAM drives are somewhat commonplace if your are in the server-field. Especially for high performance computing and write-through caching.

Think I may have found a better plan all together.

A Bluetooth number pad will get the job done, with less setup.

I've always drooled over the 10 TB RamSam at http://www.ramsan.com/products/rackmount-flash-storage/ramsan-630
