Hi all, i've been on the server for about two weeks. When I first signed up I researched the guilds as I knew asking older players questions on this server would be one of my greatest options whenever I needed help. Aside from Temerity and Vintage (not over 50 and not sure I am interested in progression), i've either talked to a member of every guild and/or applied for guilds online. I'm just wondering if it's easier to ask here about guilds as they haven't seemed to reply to any applications or contacted me in-game?

Any members of Dark Conquest, Pathfinders or The Horde on here? Any guilds particularly good for lowbies? Thank you!

Hey Zelios - my advice to folks who are interested in joining a guild is always the same: shop around! It's very much a buyer's market on Al'Kabor, and with only a handful of guilds to choose from it's not difficult to get to know them all. To the best of my knowledge, every guild will be happy to let you tag along on a couple of raids (or guild exp groups, VT shard farms, and so on) - so I say take advantage of that opportunity! It's a great way not only to get to know how all the guilds operate, but also to meet people with whom you might not normally cross paths.

As far as Tem goes, you do need to be level 55 to apply, but we have no requirements for flags, keys, gear or minimum raid attendance - we just look for skilled players who we think we'd have fun hanging out with. If you're interested, feel free /join temerity:fnord and introduce yourself.

Best of luck whatever you choose!

Yep, i've had the chance to either EXP group with alts of members of the guilds mentioned or have my group helped my higher level members. I'd just like to personally talk to an officer of one of these guilds and haven't had the chance to online yet. I'm looking for a guild who's interested in someone with lower characters who could develop to be really important pieces of a guild in the future. :D Many people say that all the guilds are recruiting due to the small population and whatnot, but i'm a little interested in what guilds actually care about my classes and play style and feel like I could contribute long term. I don't want to just be another name on a list.

Hi Zelios,
I just dug through our application thread on our board, but I couldn't find you. Although that might be a glitch on the board, we are usually pretty good on following up with people that apply.
What always help is if your board name is the same like your main character, so there are no mistakes based on that.
If you like send me or any other officer of PF a tell in game and we can have a chat.
cheers, N.

What others have said. Get to know each of the guilds before applying is my advice. Every guild has a role it serves on the server.

Word to the wise though. I wouldn't apply to more than one guild at once. It tends to make folks think that you will join the first guild that tags you.

Conveniently, all the guilds on this server have good people and reasonable reputations (depending upon who you ask, anyway). It really comes down to what your goals are. The questions to consider:

-What sort of raiding do I want to do once I'm old enough to raid?
-And if I'm going to raid, does the guild I'm looking at raid during a timeframe that works for me?
-When I'm looking for an XP group, will this guild have people on when I'm on?

And understand that the last question's answer is going to vary on level range. A guild may not have a lot of 20s but may have a very active 55+ group.

Because it's such a small community, guild hopping will build you a certain reputation. You aren't stuck in guild prison if you decide you made a poor choice, but you'll want to be somewhat careful about your decision.

I thought that Temerity had a lvl. 50 limit! Not a reference to age

hehe! We have a lvl 55 limit for an official application but we have an open channel for all "pre apps" or people interested to see what we are about! The limit on that is lvl 1 and is a great resource for getting up to lvl 55/sharding/epic ing/making fun of gnomes, etc...

The great thing about this server is it is not guild reliant on leveling. I often see 3-4 different guild in a Valor group. Wise of you to take your time and chat around! Good luck man!
