I can't argue people's perception of words, but look up Isolationist in the dictionary. I'm not saying its a good or bad, just stating a fact. After reading the definition tell me how it does not pertain to the points made by some?

All said, i find this whole discussion interesting but the only way i ever see it actually happening is when they announce the date the server will close down.

Do you really think they're going to announce it?

I do want to move forward with server wide raids to flag people for planes. I like the idea of seeing how the ring of fire raid goes. Also I like the idea of having people get keyed for VT so that they can have some VT gear for the raids. Also, getting the VT key demonstrates a level of commitment to the game. (Guess I better get at least 1 of my 2 chars VT keyed.)

It seems there will be a need to decide on how raid points are awarded, track raid points, and track flagging. This could be done on wiki or maybe my guild's, Sanctuary's, website (I would have to check with leadership to see if it is okay to do so) or DC's website (again the leadership of DC would have to be consulted). I suggest my guild's site because we are small and we do not conduct our own raids and I suggest DC's website because their raids are open.

It is very important to me that these server wide raids be non exclusive; I want anyone to be allowed to attend. It is my hope that no guild would ban their members from attending these raids. That said, I know Vintage members would not be able to participate because of their guild's zone restrictions.

I am willing to help with tracking of raid points and tracking, however, I do not feel remotely qualified to to lead raids. I have no raid experience on the PC side and I have only limited raid experience on Al Kabor, most of that being in Kael and SSRA; I have almost no PoP raid experience.

If folks like the key tracking interface on guildportal it would be easier to set up a new site than to use Sanctuary. Just took a quick glance at the roster for pre pop keys and its pretty cluttered with all the alts and retired toons. Besides, I think everyone would have to be a member of Sanctuary and if they want to do that they have to apply and convince us they will stay in Sanctuary, we have to like them. . . I don't want to open up our secret leet tactics to just ANYONE! *wink*

PoP Co-op sounds like a catchy name. . .

That's a good idea Kawaii, I had not thought of using guild portal for to do that. I was thinking of just having a thread, but using guild portal sounds easier.

Though, taking another look at GPs flag tracker, it doesn't show the sub parts of the keys, simply whether the key is obtained or not, which I personally find frusturating for multi part key quests like Vex Thal.

I don't know what kind of a set up DC has.

I'd really like to hear from the folks who work on the wiki whether a key/flag tracker could be set up there. Another option is Allakabor.

Allakabor has a pretty nifty flag tracker on its character creation page.

It does but it needs a bit of work before it's actually useful for tracking flags.

I would say that I strongly agree with what Hammie said originally. Not specifically that if you have 100 people zerg every raid to get into time. But, that you can gather enough people that can set aside X,Y,Z times every week of their life for one common goal. If you can find 30+ people on this server that can raid at 3-4 certain times every week. You will push far into this game.

DC already has a open raid system set up, why isint PoP/VT progression already happening through them?

That is a good question, that I do not have the answer to.

The server is in trouble because I think progression has hit a wall. There are a couple of progression targets in the EPs (they've been eluded to in this thread) that will probably take a miracle to beat. But then again, I also thought the same thing the first time the EMP was attempted on this server and Bertoxxulous and RZtW. Somehow Temerity always finds a way to overcome, but this time it might be different.

Time will tell, but if at least one of these bosses doesn't die this fall/winter (when we typically have the numbers), I don't see it happening, ever. If this dooms day scenario does play its self out (I'd say 50% chance) then the server is effectively dead.

You guys can all hold hands and kill lesser PoP targets or explore IC, but from my perspective you're going to have to face the reality that Time might not ever be reached on Al'Kabor. We just don't have the player base to make it happen. Well, we do, but the progression is so ridiculously redundant and challenging, you'll go insane, quit or quietly phase out of the game.

Which brings me to this question. Outside of Temerity, none of you have a shot of ever seeing any Elemental bosses, your guilds are too small. So is your goal to just see how far you can get and then…what? Because if Temerity can't do it, you're not going to do it. That's just a fact.

Bottom line. We need more players on Al'Kabor (like that's going to happen) or we need to consolidate guilds and start making some noise. The clock is ticking.

Meh, Red - as you admit, you said *exactly* the same thing for months on the guild forums before RZtW fell to Tem: Temerity has hit an insurmountable wall, and if we don't beat this event in x amount of time, the guild and the server are dead forever! I've read the threads. You're a pleasure to have in the guild, but you were wrong then, and you're wrong now.

The late fall is shaping up to be an exciting time for Tem. We recovered from the summer slump slowly, but vets are popping in (Cromis and Arguile both raided PoEB tonight!), or making noise about popping in soon, and average raid attendance numbers are rising. We may very well beat one of those targets you're talking about this winter or in the following spring, but if we don't, we're still gonna beat them. Whenever that happens!

I agree that we need to consolidate efforts, but I disagree that we need to consolidate guilds. Also, I believe that it will be easier to consolidate efforts than it would be to consolidate guilds. Many people have been in their guild for years and/or very happy in their guild. Smaller guilds are a way for people will similar goals and interests to get together more frequently.

I fear that having only a Borg-like super guild that would very likely treat its members with indifference would drive many people from the game. Since joining this server a little over a year ago, I have learned that it is more important to me that I be a part of something in which my presence in it makes a difference and with a guild leadership that appreciates me being apart of their guild than it is that I am able to obtain elemental planes gear for my characters. It is my hope that I can have both, but if I can only have one, I'll take mattering to my guild.
