Dog pile!
There was quite a lot of anticipation in the guild about this battle. A few had killed him long ago on another server, and one or two had been in the cave before. So, it was with intense discussion we formulated our devious plan to pull the dragon and kill its eight tough golem guards that become active during the battle.
After mustering at the golem camp, we finally moved to the keyed door on the far side of the zone. A few spiders and golems tried to stop us, but their tiny brains didn't warn them of the danger in doing so. Yay a new area! "Never been here before!", somebody said.
The Dorf told us to move up to the glass so we could look in on the cavern below.
"Is that the Sleeper? I think it's the Sleeper", The Jester exclaimed.
"It's not the Sleeper," a couple people told him.
"It looks like the Sleeper", he persisted.
"He's awake," someone reminded him, invoking an image of eyes rolling back in the head and the sound of snickers.
Down we went into the cavern, after clicking the globe on the pole.
Sticking to the wall like freshly cooked spaghetti, we took our time to debate how we were going to manage the coming mayhem. Finally, after some debate and much uncertainty, we readied ourselves for the incoming dragon.
Galloping off on her horse, a Paladin buzzed the beast and brought it lumbering awkwardly, like dragons do, over to the hard-as-nails warrior waiting to give it what for. Telling it nasty things in a way only tanks seem to know how to tell, the now thoroughly annoyed and deceptively fragile-looking Sleeper-like dragon unleashed all it could, frightening the daylights out of many, and sickening many others. Meanwhile, an avalanche of anti-love descended upon it, wearing it down and forcing it to call for help from the nearby golems.
Trouble, in stony pairs, tore into the guild, steadily dropping more and more of us, as the we tried to gain control of them and keep them away from our soft skinned brainiacs who where laying on the dragon hurt. All we needed to do was buy enough time for the far off Rangers to finish it off with their deadly arrows!
Finally, after a furious and chaotic fracas (but mercifully short compared to other recent battles), Destiny overwhelmed the beast, and down it went! But what about the now rampaging golems? Into action went the brave and agile kiting teams, training the rock fiends, and picking them off one by one, until finally, the last one crumpled pathetically to the cavern floor. We win! Time for a group hug!
Destiny 1, Aerin'Dar no score.
