None of the guild members seemed to know either...

It was 0 last time that I checked. It occasionally causes one of their members (at least on my screen) to appear as a GM.

Technically, 0 is reserved for GMs, I think.

See peeps in game again starting around February.

Wow, how did they get 0?
I thought the oldest guilds had lowest numbers... though I guess Vintage could qualify as oldest, since they are working on the Old World content now ;)

According to their website when they first got their name it didn't show up as "Vintage" but instead as "Custodes Desetorum" which is/was a GM guild. Eventually it got renamed to Vintage as that was the name they were looking for but they kept the guild 0.

GM didnt fix the problem either. Last GM that i saw on the server was tagged in Vintage. So w/e GM fixed us didnt do a good job and screwed up the guild tagging system!

We had another issue with our guild name this week where it dropped every online member from the guild, and then changed our tag to "Unknown Guild". After petitioning and attempting to rename/recreate or somehow resolve the issue of the guild showing up as Unknown Guild, the GM fixed it by creating a new guild named "Vintage " with a space character at the end. Although it was a new guild, it somehow refreshed the system and everyone who was still tagged under the old Vintage guild was now in the same guild as the new "Vintage ".

So, if you see us running around with an extra space at the end of our name, that's why! I'm not sure if this will permanently fix our many issues with our guild number, name, and everything or not... I think when the GM first created our guild, they tagged themselves and then gave me leadership, thus creating our mix-up in the system with the GM guild sometimes. I'm not online right now to check, but are we still guild number 0 or has that been fixed?

Generally, Guild 0 is reserved for testing and/or GM guilds. So whichever GM set up Vintage with #0 technically messed up. I assume that your recent troubles with the "Unknown Guild" problem are a result of the GM trying to fix the issue.

Yeah.. It was broke and then fixed as of yesterday, but I haven't checked to see what guild number we are. The GMs are having trouble renaming our guild and deleting it... so worst case scenerio, I would probably have to remake a brand new guild and call it Vintage Classic or something, to designate the era we're in.

I can see the announcement now.. Vintage Classic is now Vintage Kunark and a year later Vintage Kunark is now Vintage Velious. There will probably be some holdovers who will refuse to leave the classic era and they will keep the Vintage Classic guild tag so we would be seeing various Vintage "expansion name" guilds running around in a few years. That would be funny. :)

It would be like a franchise... anyone want to buy the <Vintage PoP> endgame franchise? Only 1 billion PP.. which would go towards our top secret underground Gnome Tinkering Research Facility.
