I think you are thinking too far into this. A boxed account is not a main account. People are not going to worry about where AAs are going, where gear is going. It is simply an account there to fill out a group, powerlevel an alt, help camp something, buff a group, etc etc. This is not someone's main.

And I just said I would pony up for the cost of one. I am not expecting to be paid by anyone.

What's to stop someone from logging onto your MAIN character and robbing it blind or worse...deleting it. Don't put Mac users up on a pedestal as being "above" stealing and/or vandalism. Ask Corba sometime about what some mentally unstable person did with his main account.

If you are all so trusting, then go for it. However, you had better notify your guild (if you already belong to one) or be up front with one you're trying to join that someone OUTSIDE the guild has access to your account...which includes your GUILDED character.

Honestly the association you are looking for is in fact a Guild as Miz has said.

I know for sure there are shared toons in nearly every guild on Al'Kabor.

You will surely get the support you are looking for and maybe even a boxed toon to play down the road.

Most 'retired' accounts are taken up by the guild of the player of by someone in the guild.
