Sunra was kind of my Idol.. not that I ever knew him in Game..

I did eventually get to know him in WoW and got him killed many times while I FD'd and watched his poor warlock self get raped by Crimson people..
Good times.

Cadsuane,
Gnatzilla,
Deelron,
Vance,
Nolan,
Seventoes
Bitterirony
Yeniu (She inducted me into the SBA <3 )

Man.. too many people I looked at with Awe..

And Kyth,
She's awesome
A Tier 0 Guild upon herself.

Coming Close is
Gael, who's awesomeness is only overshrouded by Kyth because she's a Halfling. (don't correct me)

Oh, and Mango stayed with Tem as the sole member after the WoW exodus.

If you don't know what you're talking about, keep your trap shut. :P

There were about 10 of us that "stuck with things" and played every day. I'd need to go through the old forum posts to check, but this was when Temerity's tenacious rangers (Danidianya and myself) became Tem's main tanks and we started hitting all the dragons on Norrath that we could and even a few attempts at Doomshade in UP just to keep people playing and get the interest back.

Most of Tem didn't bail on us at all. There was this "new game" that had all this buzz around it and they wanted to try it. It was also around the normal holiday downsizing that the server sees, so it was kinda a double whammy. We stayed focused, took control of the reins, and turned a certain guilds rhetoric that "Temerity was a dead guild" right back into their face and came back charging onto the scene by killing Vallon Zek in Feb 2005, Lord Inquisitor Seru in March 2005, Emperor Ssraeshza in May 2005 and 13 of us entering Vex Thal that same night. Not once did I ever view Temerity as finished.

In Temerity, I'd say that all those that stuck out the Holiday/WoW downsizing are the Legends of Temerity™.

I was playing pretty much every day after the exodus, and the only person I consistently saw online was mango. He was on pretty much 24/7, which is why I remember him as the "sole" player. I'm not saying you guys didn't stay or fight, I'm just saying that mang was on *all* the time.

I just saw this. There were a few who were consistently online, though yes at many points it was just me hence the short-lived "Mangerity" Bajjo coined at one point. 24/7...all camping GDMF in Chardok. Never been able to do things like that ever again. Think the main peeps who'd logged in day-to-day were Bajjo, Dani, Lore and...a couple others who logged in every other day. It wasn't Utdaan who was one of them who logged in everyday, however. ;)

And dunno how you think it was a downsizing+holiday, Ut. Tem was, like all other guilds on the server a complete skeleton. We never used rangers as MT, either at any point. Kyth came back, after much consideration and coaxing to take the controls along with Zorb as the RL and Nik as the GM. Think Vector 1.0 was in there as well, but eventually he went away too. It was completely rebuilt and absorbed SoN in doing so shortly after the first new years raid on KT. Methinks you have a foggy memory of the very tumultuous time period for the server. One which I never, ever want to relive or think about ever again.

Goes to show how often you actually paid attention to things outside of your own little world, Mang. I was on every damned day during that time, except for the 2 weeks I was gone when my mom passed away in Dec. 04.

Dani and I were the only ones closest to being a main tank on many occasions, mostly attempting mobs like Doomshade. There were no other plate tanks that logged on for quite a while.

But whatever, you go right ahead and believe what you like.

Now now, don't get your panties in a bunch again. Pay attention and Re-read my post. You weren't on all the time like you and I both said. Sorry you just confirmed it? Stop trying to interpret my posts other than face-values for once. It gets your foot stuck up where the sun don't shine.

And the first "official" big raid after the rebuilding was KT, with Build and Corinth...not Rangers as Temerity's MT. There were a couple scarce mini-raids before to try getting things going again and assessing what we needed and this was, maybe a week-week and a half before the KT raid that put Temerity back where it belonged, but for the majority of a month...nada. We couldn't even form a group 95% of the time. lol. Surely you must've read all the posts by various peeps trying to get something going, but it never happened cause like, nobody logged in or am I still living in my own little world? I did, however forget how key Vector was in getting things back into the saddle, especially after the whole Bast post that happened that outraged anybody and everybody. He still disappeared, never to be heard from again later on. Oh, and Jan as the Assist. RL. :(

BTW. Next time, keep the condescending remarks out of things Mr. Overbloated ego. Go try telling somebody else how awesome you are. Read the forums. It's pretty well documented, including all the posts by you and afk's for nearly anything and everything posted, not just 2 weeks. :)

I'm done, though. I'm going back to my own little world where it's warm, decayed and free of legomaniacs.

I never once tried to claim that I was the one responsible for bringing Tem back from the dead. Also, I wouldn't start calling someone else condescending, Mr. Pot.

Ya know...this is just going nowhere since you have always been in your own little world and you can never be wrong.

Now now children. I'm quite disappointed… there's drama going on and no one told me about it so I could join in on the little mini flame fest :(

You should Lrn2read the forums. =P I never remotely implied anything about you bringing Tem back lolol...how you got that from what I typed is soooo beyond me (and most others imaginations). How's the climate in your own bubble there? ;) <-- *borderline condescending remark*

I live in my own world, where it's documented and such on our forums. You might consider looking before leaping. ;) Feel free to PM me in my own world (ya know, the one where it doesn't revolve around epeen contests?) if you really care to remember correctly, Ut. I'll gladly and quickly give you every link imaginable to support what I've said.

And seriously, if you have some issues with yourself (lookie, condescending remark, again?), take it through PM's. I corrected Saenayil about Mang bein' the only one online during those times. I also clearly stated you were not one of them who were online all the time (like you keep trying to believe). You even proved the point. And to be blunt, it's all typed out elsewhere. "Utdaan has a gig for the next few days, yada yada..." Why you want to flame it is hilarious in itself.

And, you know my postings well enough that if I actually wanted or cared to be condescending I would make a point to do it and very clearly, but this wasn't one of those time. :)

I'm disappointed, Rot. You forgot to bring a working lighter to help Ut flame things. Bad you.

Hey everyone,

Was just passing through the forum during a nostalgic daydream of the yesteryear. Glad to see many of you are still alive and kicking! Seeing many of these names certainly gives me goose-bumps... I remember Sikkorak, Cads, Oompah, Volotham, etc. with great fondness.

And glad to see at least one person remembered me... Good to see you, Sliz. :)

So what is the general condition of Al'Kabor nowadays? I'll admit that I was brought back here after reading a discussion on a mmorpg forum, but I'm certainly glad to have done so. (The discussion related to "safe" tradeskill gameplay in certain games, wherein crafting does not result in the loss of an item "on chance," such as WoW, and the risk-involved model used in games such as EQ).

My hero was always Nolan. I cannot tell you how many times I would sit there and just ponder how his presence would overpower everyone else.

Besides that there was....

Chaos
Ciel
Brizbane
Kayne
Justice

god so many

Finally some perspective in this thread. Some of those names will ring out till the end of time. Ten years from now all the former Al'kabortions will still be asking eachother about the day that Brizbane accidently managed to beat a paladin on the dps charts.
