Hey all,

I've just started and I've finally got everything up and running.

I'm 2 boxing a cleric and warrior ( I know not the best 2 box pair, but I want to level a warrior and cleric )

I'm a lowbe and I'm not looking for a guild to raid right now obviously, I would just like to join a good guild to grow with and eventually raid with, but that's way down the road.

Mainly I would just like to belong to a good guild so I can ask questions and chat and get to know everyone while I level.

Same with groups. IMHO, if you're looking for a longterm guild, don't just join one to get to know people. Try getting to know people first, and then find out which guild will suit your playstyle and goals. If someone is telling you that you need to be in a guild to get groups and level or get help, they are completely full of it! All they are wanting you to do is join THEIR guild, rather than let you decide which guild would be your better fit. Al'Kabor is community oriented and you should have no problems getting the assistance you need without committing to a guild tag before you are ready to commit to one.

Keep in mind that different guilds are also active at VERY different times, so you'll want to consider when you'll be playing the most and then find out who's on at those times. Eventually your schedule may change so it is wise to wait until you are ready to raid before deciding what guild's schedule fits best.

I am also new to the server, and if you haven't already you should auto-join the alliance channel. There are always people who are helpful there and willing to give you plenty of advice. You may be subjected to watching a few players bicker back and forth out of boredom, but that is just part of the Everquest experience. Though even the seemingly crabbier people in that channel are willing to offer valuable advice.
