I saw the links in the original Velious UI thread were long dead and some people were asking for it.

I used Project 1999's Velious UI as the base and ported it over to EQMac. There are some minor changes that had to be made, and there are some still to come. But for now here it is.

You're still amazing but I can't get VeliousMac to work. I type /loadskin VeliousMac and crash immediately

Check the following folder for a file called UIErrors.txt

/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/EverQuest/Logs

Post up what you find!

Nothing in UIErrors.txt. The game client is crashing entirely and I'm getting an OS X bug report window.

I checked permissions and upped my resolution to no avail.

Were you running any version of Po2 before trying to switch?

If so, switch from Po2 to the default UI, then try to switch to what you want. This is a semi-known issue with Po2 is certain cases.

Let me know if Wizman's solution works for you. I am at a loss, as you can see it runs and I get no errors on my machine.

I will look into it more if Wizman's suggestion does not work.

Any chance of getting the classic spell + gem icons to work?

It's possible, I mean they might have worked and I didn't understand them lol.

ie they looked wrong to me, if I can get a few buffs tomorrow I will certainly check it out. The issue I think I am having is that the icon set for P1999 is for a newer client that supports more spells. So it looked to me that the UI was pulling the wrong icon's for the spells.

EDIT: They are indeed wrong. P1999 has custom files and while they use old icons, the files themselves are not in proper order for EQMac client. So unless I can get a set of working Velious Icons for EQMac.. I can not fix that spellbar.

There should be no features missing. Other than the Velious Spellbar and Gems

Didn't Maktub include the Velious spell icons for the Powerof2 UI? Then again, you may not be able to use those as he re-made them I think.
