Well Judah, for the sake of some friendly banter, I'll go into a bit more detail.

What I'm trying to point out is that while the game itself might be the same old thing (gather resources --> build units --> attack), the meta-game strategies constantly shift, so that is something at least. And they don't just shift in little amounts; there have been some revolutionary years that brought about units that had never been seen before.
Also, I feel obligated to mention Suriinya's over-simplification of the game.

If you apply this to the multi-player aspect, it is ironically not only false, but the exact opposite of what "it all comes down to" in the virtually any professional series (meaning micro, as opposed to macro). This type of conclusion really only applies to the lower half of the skill spectrum.
