Hey folks,

I don't normally plug other web sites, so I'll hope you'll pardon this. I've admittedly developed a little guilty pleasure of EQ fan fiction. Well, decent fan fiction, at least. I think it was a natural progression from how much I thoroughly enjoyed digging up EverQuest lore, either through manuals, web sites, or in-game quests. That and I've been enjoying reading the EQ web comic WTF Comics, whose author (who plays an Iksar warrior) ended up getting a very amusing item added to the PC version of EQ.

Due to the age of the game, finding EQ stories (and lore, sadly) that are well written and make some small effort to follow English grammar are few and far between. GamerFables.com has happily provided more of a central repository for some of these stories. A lot of the stories come over from guild sites hosted by GuildPortal.com, but there are some folks who post directly to the site. If anyone gets a bug for making a story up off the top of their head, I'd love to see more in the EverQuest section.
